Regular Dental Visits
During regular visits to Cosmetic and Advanced Dentistry, we will provide a cleaning, X-rays, and a visual examination. If it’s your first visit to our office, we will require your medical history and insurance information. Medical conditions and medications can impact your dental health and sedation options. Our office will need this information to ensure you stay safe during treatment.
Fill out these patient forms before visiting, and bring them with you for a quicker visit: Patient Forms. This will also provide us with your current and past medical history.
We will provide a visual exam at routine visits to look for problems like gum disease, tooth damage, or cavities. Our office will also take dental X-rays to find problems we cannot see with this exam. We will also take X-rays if you have a current dental problem that requires treatment.
Then, we will clean your teeth and gums. During a regular cleaning, we scale the teeth and gums. This means that we remove food debris and bacterial buildup from the mouth. Only a dental hygienist can remove tartar or hardened bacterial buildup. This cleaning also helps clean hard-to-reach areas of the mouth. Then, we will also floss between teeth and polish the teeth.
If you have noticed a change in your oral health, schedule a dental visit with us so we can examine your smile. Treating dental problems early on is essential to prevent them from worsening over time.
